Parties of 2 or more tents and those wishing to stay several nights are
advised to book in advance (£10
deposit). July and August are very busy months and, if possible, it is
advisable to arrive by lunchtime/early afternoon in order to secure a pitch.
7.45pm is the latest arrival
time except by prior arrangement. Tobermory Campsite is the closest
campsite to 'Balamory' - very
important for our younger campers! We also have 2 'Midge Magnet'
machines
in operation. We are not
guaranteeing midge-free camping
(bring your
repellent!) but they do catch a
number of midges. Mobile phone reception is patchy
at the campsite. However, there is a
good signal
in Tobermory and Vodaphone
probably has the best coverage on
the island We are situated only 1½ miles from
Tobermory on the road to Dervaig.
Which means we are minutes from Tobermory
harbour front in one direction and the picturesque Mishnish Lochs in the
other, one of the hunting grounds of
the magnificent S ea EaglesThe Caravans At present we have 2
caravans, both fitted out to a very
high standard and both in their own grounds with parking. Caravan no. 1 35'x12' ,3 bedrooms -
1 double and 2 twin. Sleeps 6 All
necessary facilities, plus Freesat
Sky TV, DVD player, full size cooker,
fridge, microwave.
The shower and hot water are run by calor
gas which is included in the price.
Electricity for lights, heaters etc, is by
means of a £1 coin meter. Caravan no.2 28'x10' , 2 Bedrooms -
1 double and 1 twin (or 2 doubles).
Sleeps 4. Shower room and separate WC. Fully fitted kitchen, microwave,
